Jadon Sancho expected back in Dortmund training this week as Manchester United chase summer deal

Borussia Dortmund expect Jadon Sancho back in training this week as speculation over a move to Manchester United mounts.

The England international is a leading transfer target for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side who confirmed their return to the Champions League on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.

Dortmund however are adamant they will not accept less than £100million for the former Manchester City academy graduate, but United are reluctant to spend above £70m.

There remains hope a compromise can be reached, with Solskjaer determined to bolster his attack with the 20-year-old, who is believed to desire a move to United.

With the transfer window now officially open and their place in Europe's premier competition next season secured, United can now begin planning for next season.

Dortmund expect no immediate business this week however with Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc telling Kicker: "We expect Jadon to return to Dortmund for the start of training on Thursday."

United will consider a move for Kingsley Coman if they fail to land Sancho in the coming months.

It’s understood Coman has been identified as a potential alternative - possibly on loan — if Dortmund fail to lower their asking price for Sancho.
