Jadon Sancho dropped by Borussia Dortmund after late return from England duty

Jadon Sancho has been sensationally dropped by Borussia Dortmund ahead of their huge Bundesliga clash with top of the table Borussia Monchengladbach.

Sancho has been left out of the squad for the game by boss Lucien Favre after reportedly returning back late from international duty.

Kicker claim that Sancho has been punished for his misconduct and it is unclear whether his snub will continue beyond this weekend's game.

It is not the first time the club have punished Sancho, who was dropped to the Under 23s in the 2017/18 season by previous boss Peter Stoger after arriving late for training several times.

Sancho has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with Manchester United known admirers of the teenage star.

Former club Manchester City and Champions League winners Liverpool have also been linked with a move to bring back the attacker, who has burst onto the scene in the German top flight.

Dortmund assistant manager Jorg Heinrich recently conceded Sancho is likely to leave the club within the next two seasons.

"Jadon can become one of the best players in Europe, or even the world," Heinrich told Omnisport .

"It won't be easy to keep him at Dortmund. We hope he plays one or two seasons longer but we all know very, very big clubs with a lot of money want to have him in their team.

"He should know Dortmund is an excellent place for young players to play consistently and to develop on a very, very high level."

Sancho, meanwhile, recently refused to rule out a move.

"I can’t tell the future," he told Viasport. "I just take it game by game. I just wanna give 100 per cent for Borussia Dortmund."
