Jadon Sancho delights Manchester United fans with reaction to Bruno Fernandes goal

Jadon Sancho was watching Manchester United's friendly with Everton, and was clearly delighted with what he was seeing.

In United's final pre-season friendly before the Premier League opener vs Leeds, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named a relatively strong side including Bruno Fernandes, Donny van de Beek, Mason Greenwood and Harry Maguire.

It was Greenwood who gave United the lead, capitalising after Jordan Pickford spilled a header back from Lucas Digne. Maguire then thumped in a header to double the advantage from a Luke Shaw corner.

And United's dominance over Everton continued as Fernandes whipped in a superb 26-yard free-kick to make it three before the break.

The performance was a confidence booster going into the new season, and United will welcome new signing Jadon Sancho to the squad next week following his £73m move from Borussia Dortmund.

Sancho was clearly getting some revision in before getting his United career started as he watched the Everton friendly with interest, and it was Fernandes' free kick that prompted him to take to Twitter to show what he thought of the strike.

Sancho tweeted simply: 'Bruno' with a love heart emoji, with the post quickly collecting thousands of likes and retweets.

With United building form ahead of the Leeds fixture, fans can be excited that Sancho will be able to slot into their in-form side on the wing - and the new signing looks set to be ready to get going at Old Trafford.
