Jadon Sancho delays Dortmund's flight to London to face Tottenham in Champions League after forgetting passport

Jadon Sancho’s homecoming got off to a bad start on Tuesday when he delayed Borussia Dortmund’s flight to London after forgetting his passport.

The 18-year-old forward, who is in scintillating form for the Bundesliga leaders ahead of their visit to Wembley to face Tottenham in the Champions League on Wednesday night, realised his mistake as he arrived at Dortmund Airport, where a flight was due to take the team to his home city.

Perhaps still growing accustomed to life as an elite footballer, Sancho returned home to collect his passport and rushed back to the airport where the flight was briefly held.

Sancho scored his eighth goal of the season on the weekend in a 3-0 win over Hoffenheim, to go with his 13 assists collected this term, and is expected to start when Dortmund take on Mauricio Pochettino's side in the round-of-16 first leg.
