Jadon Sancho could join Liverpool thanks to 'gentlemen's agreement' with Borussia Dortmund

Jadon Sancho has a 'gentlemen's agreement' to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, the club's sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed.

However, there is no such agreement in place with Erling Haaland as both players continue to be linked with moves away from the Bundesliga outfit with BVB at risk of missing out on the Champions League next season.

Liverpool have been repeatedly linked with both Sancho and Haaland, with recent reports suggesting Jurgen Klopp was considering the former as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah if he left Anfield.

And while it remains to be seen if the Reds will actually move for Sancho or Haaland, Zorc has confirmed that Dortmund will allow the England international to leave the club at the end of the season if an appropriate offer is made but have no such agreement with the striker.

"We already had a gentlemen's agreement with Jadon last year that he can switch under certain conditions," Zorc told ARD.

"He's been with us for a couple of years. However, this agreement does not exist with Erling."
