Jadon Sancho casts doubt over Borussia Dortmund future amid Manchester United links

Jadon Sancho has admitted he is unsure where his future lies amid interest from Manchester United.

MEN Sport reported in April that United are refusing to rule out a move for the Borussia Dortmund winger this summer.

United coveted Sancho last year but refused to meet the Bundesliga club's £110million valuation, though the feeling is that they will accept a much lower valuation this time around.

Signing Erling Haaland remains Manchester United's top priority but Dortmund are adamant the 20-year-old won't leave the club. As a result, Sancho could be sacrificed to ease the financial pressures on the club, which would become worse if they failed to qualify for UEFA Champions League.

Sancho has struggled with injuries this season but returned to action in late April and scored two goals against RB Leipzig in a 3-2 victory for Dortmund.

“I don’t know about my future," Sancho told ESPN after the match.

"I am very happy here in Dortmund at the moment. I love the club, the fans and the team. They gave me my first professional start.”

Speaking last month, Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted the club would be prepared to sell Sancho for an 'exceptional offer'.

Watzke told DAZN: "I'm not getting involved in probabilities, it's no good. Jadon Sancho has been with us much longer than Erling Haaland. We'll have to speak to Jadon, too.

"If there is an exceptional offer we will discuss it with the player and the agent, as always."

Sancho is contracted with Dortmund until 2023 and will be concentrating on securing a place in Gareth Southgate's England squad for the upcoming European Championships.
