Jadon Sancho and Harry Maguire handed big FIFA 22 downgrades in latest Man United update

Manchester United's captain Harry Maguire and winger Jadon Sancho have been downgraded in the latest FIFA 22 squad update.

Jadon Sancho has struggled for game time since his arrival from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, with the winger failing to register a goal or assist in 12 appearances for United in all competitions - resulting in the 21-year-old being pushed out the starting XI in recent weeks.

Harry Maguire enjoyed a decent start to the season, but since his return from injury, the England defender has been in poor form for United - the 5-0 loss to Liverpool particularly piling some pressure on his level of performances.

EA Sports have taken note of the duo's lack of form in recent weeks, and both players have now received downgrades to their overall rating in FIFA 22 - with a couple of in-game downgrades being handed out to other players in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad.

The latest FIFA 22 squad update was released today, with fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool all receiving big changes based on their seasons so far.

The squad update is available to download now on all platforms including PC, Xbox and PlayStation.

So, how have the downgrades to Maguire and Sancho affected them in FIFA 22? Let's take a look.

Rather than being issued with a bunch of downgrades to his in-game stats, Maguire has only received a downgrade in three - and two of them are to do with his rating.

After his poor start to the season, Maguire has seen his overall rating drop from 84 to 83, whilst his potential overall rating has decreased by two ratings overall - dropping from 86 to 84.

The defender also received a downgrade to his marking (85-83), making it the second time in FIFA 22 his marking has decreased - dropping from 87 to 85 two weeks ago.

Jadon Sancho hasn't made a big impact in his first few weeks at the club, and the winger has now seen his overall rating drop from 87 to 86, whilst his potential rating decreased from 91 to 90.

Not only that, but his in-game stats saw a change, along with his position.

Sancho's finishing (83-32), reactions (85-83), stamina (77-74), positioning (83-82) and vision (87-86) all received downgrades, whilst his position changed from RM to LM after making the majority of appearances there so far this season.

There were a couple of minimal stat changes to other players in the United squad, with Bruno Fernandes' marking dropping from 72 to 69, Aaron Wan Bisska's potential rating decreased from 87 to 86 and Fred's weak foot downgraded from four-star to three.
