Jadon Sancho addresses Manchester United transfer links after ‘dip’ in form

Jadon Sancho does not believe that Manchester United’s failure to sign him has had an impact on his form this season.

Sancho, 20, left Man City for Borussia Dortmund in 2017, and has become one of the most dangerous forwards in the Bundesliga as well as a regular starter for England.

The winger has been linked with a return to Manchester for the past two summers, but United have so far failed to lure the Three Lions international to Old Trafford.

Sancho scored 17 Bundesliga goals last term and assisted another 16, but has yet to find that sort of form this season for Dortmund - though he did score a fine goal during England’s 3-0 friendly win over Ireland on Thursday.

But when asked if transfer speculation in the summer had had an impact on his form, Sancho told ITV: "No, I don't think so."

He added: "I feel like every player has a little dip in their career and I'm going through that at the moment.

"It is just how I am bouncing back and I'm just happy to have managers who have faith in me and keep starting me."
