Jadeveon Clowney says Eagles have the “worst fans in the world” after knocking Wentz out of Wild Card game

Jadeveon Clowney was once a coveted defense end that Eagles fans were clamoring to see in Philadelphia after the Texans made plans to trade him.

Clowney even stated that the Eagles were a preference for him before he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks. It’s safe to say that Clowney is unlikely to feel the same way after he made harsh comments about Philadelphia fans.

After the Eagles lost their star signal-caller to a concussion, Clowney made it clear that he didn’t mean to hit Wentz in the head and that it wasn’t a dirty play.

Clowney went on to say that he “expected death threats” from Eagles fans before calling them the “worst fans in the world” via USA Today.

“There might be death threats,” Clowney said in the victorious locker room afterward, while also opining that the locals who fill up Lincoln Financial Field are the “worst fans in the world.”

The hit on Wentz in Sunday’s matchup did not draw a penalty, as referee Shawn Smith labeled the hit “incidental” contact on the play.
