An 18-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of Jaden Moodie, who was run over and stabbed in a frenzied attack in London on in January.

Ayoub Majdouline appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The teenager, from Lily Gardens in Wembley, spoke only to confirm his date of birth, address and British nationality.

Jaden, 14, died in January after a group of five men in a black Mercedes rammed him off a stolen moped in east London.

Three men then climbed out of the car and stabbed the schoolboy to death, in what police believe was a targeted killing.

All five of the suspects then fled in the vehicle.

Mr Majdouline has also been charged with posession of a bladed weapon.

He has been remanded in custody until an appearance at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.

Jaden’s family previously said he had “absolutely no affiliation with gangs”.

The teenager had moved from Nottingham to London about six months ago.
