Jade Goody's son Bobby back in touch with maternal grandmother Jackiey after years of not talking

Jade Goody's son Bobby has revealed that he is back in touch with his maternal grandmother after years of not speaking.

The aspiring model, 17, made the admission as he chatted candidly to fans on an Instagram Q&A.

"Do you still see your nan Jackie?" one follower wanted to know.

Jackiey Budden had played a huge part in Jade's life, even joining her on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007, but has become estranged from her grandsons Bobby and Freddie in recent years.

As he spoke to his social media fans this weekend, Bobby said that his biggest goal in life was to have a Christmas dinner surrounded by his family - including 'both his grandmothers'.

The sweet aspiration led to one follower questioning the relationship between Bobby and Jade's mother Jackiey.

Setting the record straight, Bobby explained that they hadn't spoken in 'too long' but had recently reconciled.

"Yeah. I didn't see her for ages for way too long," he admitted. "But I went to see her twice recently.

"And honestly if there's one woman you shouldn't under-estimate it's my nan. Honestly, she's like a wizard! It's nuts," added the teenager.

Last month, Jack Tweed appealed for Jackiey to get in touch with him on the anniversary of Jade's death as he also revealed he'd lost touch.

Jade passed away on Mother's Day 2009 after a battle with cervical cancer.

Jack said he and grown close to Jackie during his time with Jade, but that they'd stopped speaking in recent years.

Jackiey, who overcame drug addiction, was thrust into the spotlight as her daughter shot to fame on Big Brother 2002.

In 2019 Jackiey opened spoke out in a documentary about Jade's death about how much her daughter's death continues to affect her.

Jackiey said she still lights a candle every night for Jade and sits and eats dinner at her daughter's grave to feel close to her.

Speaking to The Sun about his mother-in-law, Jack said: '“The last time we spoke I know she was really, really suffering and struggling.

"Jade was Jackie’s whole world and although she is a very strong woman I know she really struggles at this time of the year like I do. I hope we will be able to speak again soon and help each other through it.”
