Jacqueline Jossa wants to return to EastEnders once Lauren Branning is 'missed'

EastEnders star and Jungle Queen Jacqueline Jossa has shared she'd be up for a return to Albert Square on one condition.

Jac, who played Lauren Branning for eight years until her departure in 2018, told that she'd make her comeback once she feels fans "miss" the character enough.

Appearing on the new series of Celebrity Juice, mum-of-two Jac told host Keith Lemon: "When the time's right yes, the character needs to be missed before you can come back."

Lauren's last episode on the soap was a real tear-jerker, she made a dramatic exit during the funeral of sister Abi.

She upped sticks to the other side of the world, where ex Peter was trying to start a new life.

But Lauren refused to let him go and followed him out there in the hopes of rekindling what they'd had.

And Peter's return earlier this year had fans frantically speculating that Lauren would be hot on his heels.

Asked about it by a fan, she said: "Maybe one day. I LOVED my time on the show."

EastEnders clearly still holds a special place in Jac's heart, even two years down the line from her departure.

Paying tribute on the show's 35th anniversary, she teased that the door's open for her when she's ready to come back.

"I had such an amazing time and LOVED Lauren Branning with ALL of my heart!" Jac wrote.

"I miss you lozza, maybe see you again one day."

In the meantime, Jac's thrown herself head first into an array of other career opportunities.

On top of being a mum to daughters Ella and Mia, she triumphed in last year's I'm A Celeb and has landed her own clothing line.

And she's even been glamming up Instagram with looks at her new advertising campaigns with BPerfect.

But Jac's not letting it go to her head, staying humble and sharing a refreshing dose of honesty now and again.

"I actually just put a whole face of make up on, looked at myself and was like 'absolutely not' and took it all off," she shared with fans.

"I am actually thinking I prefer my face without loads of make up on. Well, at least when I do it."
