I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! bosses have bent strict rules of the show to allow Jacqueline Jossa to speak with her husband Dan Osborne over fears he cheated, a TV insider has revealed to the Mirror.
Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline was said to be 'hysterical' after campmate Myles Stephenson told her that her husband Dan had a fling with his ex-girlfriend Gabby Allen .
In scenes not aired to viewers, Jacqueline, 27, refused to continue on with the show without talking to the dad of her two kids.
A senior source on production has claimed that while a devastated Jacqueline wasn't allowed to leave the jungle to contact Dan, ITV bosses were keen to manage the issue on site so she didn't leave the bubble of the show.
The source said: “No one has left the jungle this series so far including Jacqueline. Producers felt it was appropriate to allow her to contact Dan but this was done through sending messages and there was no direct contact in terms of a conversation on the phone.
“It was a delicate balance in terms of giving Jacqueline peace of mind so she didn't walk out of the show, but also not bending the rules too much compared to the other contestants.
“Bosses always have the contestants' welfare as their main priority and this felt like the right thing to do on this occasion.”
Jacqueline will have the chance to talk with Dan further when she leaves the jungle as he is flying into Brisbane airport this week with their two children so he is here for when she is evicted.
Currently that looks like it will not be at least for another week as she is the bookmakers' second favourite to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Last year, when Jacqueline was pregnant with her second child, rumours began circulated that her husband Dan had a fling with Love Island babe Gabby Allen.
The couple, who hadn't been married for a year, briefly split over the speculation but after Dan vehemently denied anything had happened between him and Gabby, they reconciled shortly before the birth of second daughter Mia.
