Jacqueline Jossa is unrecognisable as Frozen's Elsa for All Star Musicals

Jacqueline Jossa looks worlds away from Albert Square as she transforms into Frozen's Elsa for ITV's All Star Musicals.

In first look images for the new series, set to air on April 3, the former EastEnders actress, 29, embodies the Disney princess as she dons a peroxide blonde wig and a sparkly blue dress for her performance.

Jacqueline will battle it out against Good Morning Britain's Alex Beresford and wildlife presenter Michaela Strachan.

Coronation Street star Lisa George, rugby player Danny Care and actor Colin Salmon will also take part.

Jacqueline, who runs her own musical theatre school, appears in her element in the pictures as she sings her heart out with her long blonde plait cascading down her shoulders.

Speaking about joining the show, Jacqueline said: "I am so excited to take part in All Star Musicals, it’s thrilling and terrifying, and I can’t wait to tackle a musical number that everyone knows and loves. My girls are going to love seeing me up on that stage."

Catherine Tyldesley won the Christmas edition last year, impressing the three judges - Elaine Paige OBE, Samantha Barks and Trevor Dion Nicholas - with her performance of Memory from Cats which left Elaine in tears.

The actress, 38, admitted it was a life-changing experience for her.

Speaking at the time, she said: "Thank you so much and thank you to everyone. Everyone has worked so hard so this is for everyone. The tuition Elaine gave me, I will keep with me forever."

ITV have also confirmed John Barrowman is set to return to host the show once again.

Meanwhile, weather presenter Alex, 41, revealed he was looking forward to "challenging" himself.

"There’s a fine line between panic and excitement, but I can’t wait to challenge myself and feel the thrill of performing a musical number in front of a crowd. The acoustics in my shower are very sympathetic," he said.

Donning a grey period suit, Alex will take to the stage to perform a song from Broadway musical Hamilton.

Michaela added: "As a wildlife presenter, I don’t often get the chance to swap the walking boots and outdoor gear for something sparkly. I’m attempting to do something I haven’t done for over 30 years, spoiler alert, it’s not the can can."

Each of the six stars will be supported by a West End ensemble as well as a live orchestra.

John will be joined by Elaine, Samantha and Trevor to open the show with a performance from Grease, whilst the stars will perform a hit from the Phantom Of The Opera, who are celebrating 35 years in the West End.

All Star Musicals airs April 3, 7:30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
