Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne got guard dog over fears new home would be burgled

Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne have bought a security dog to guard their £1.2million home.

Already dog people with two tiny pooches, the security pooch is a welcome addition to the young family.

Fears crept into Dan's mind that his family could be targeted while he was not at home.

When Dan was at work, the dad felt the new dog would be able to offer protection to his wife and their two daughters Ella, six, and Mia, two.

Dan told MailOnline : "We've got two little tiny dogs, they're lovely and great for the kids, they're like two little fluff balls basically, but then we're getting a third dog, which is a trained protection dog, a trained family protection dog.

"He's lovely… but also we're moving into a bigger house and if I'm away working because I'm up and down the country now with Prize Paradise – when I'm away I want them all to feel safe as well and especially Jacqueline on her own in the house and stuff like that so we're getting a big trained dog.

"With the house – we have finally got to all of the problems and they're all being solved so hopefully it will just be a couple more weeks and we can move in."

They have all just moved into their new dream family home and embarked on a renovations project.

Work already has been underway for transforming the mansion, including a huge paint job which the couple completed.

All the renovations have been a way for the lovebirds to put their stamp on the place.

It's a fresh start for the couple after they had overcome their marriage problems.

Jacqueline told fans she had turned to marriage counselling and even temporarily moved out of the family home during lockdown last year while she and Dan worked on their issues.

But the lovebirds have proved stronger than ever and they have a bright future ahead of them.

Dan also has a son Teddy from a previous romance which didn't work out.
