Jacob Wells Road crash: Learner's motorbike destroyed in three-vehicle collision

A learner driver's motorbike was completely destroyed in a three-vehicle crash.

Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to the collision on Jacob Wells Road, in the city centre, at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, September 16.

Dramatic photographs show the bike crushed under a car and van. After firefighters lifted the vehicles, wreckage from the motorcycle was left strewn across the route.

Paramedics did treat people at the scene, but there were no serious injuries.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "We had crews from Temple and Bedminster in attendance.

"The incident's circumstances were an RTC involving one van, one car and a motorbike.

"All persons had self-rescued prior to our arrival.

"The motorcycle was trapped under the van, crews used a mounted winch and two high-pressure air bags."

"Top work from all."
