Jacob Stockdale and Conor Murray named in Ireland squad for Six Nations clash with Scotland

Jacob Stockdale is back in the Ireland squad for the Six Nations clash with Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday.

The Ulster star was unavailable for the first two rounds of the championship with bone bruising on his knee suffered against Munster on January 2.

He had only just returned to action for his province when Ireland secured their first win in round three away to Italy.

Stockale is named in a 36 man squad that will travel to Edinburgh on Friday, and Conor Murray is also included after missing the Rome trip with a hamstring injury, but Shane Daly loses out and will remain at Munster.

Leinster's Josh van der Flier will go through the graduated return to play protocols this week in Ireland camp after the province's PRO14 victory at Ulster on Saturday night.

Otherwise, there were no significant injury concerns from the other 12 players who featured in the Guinness PRO14 fixtures over the weekend, including Bundee Aki and Craig Casey.

Ireland will have one game left in the championship after the Edinburgh encounter with Andy Farrell's players facing a six-day turnaround before their Aviva Stadium clash with England.
