In recent news, Australian actor Jacob Elordi has found himself involved in a police investigation following an alleged assault on a radio producer. The incident occurred at a hotel in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs over the weekend, as reported by Australia's Daily Telegraph.

According to Joshua Fox, a producer for 'The Kyle & Jackie O Show' on KIIS FM, the altercation took place when he approached Elordi at the hotel. Fox had asked Elordi if he could have some of his bathwater for Jackie O, as a playful reference to a viral scene in the actor's film 'Saltburn.' However, things took a turn when Elordi requested Fox to stop filming and delete the footage.

As detailed on Monday morning's episode of 'The Kyle & Jackie O Show,' Fox recalled the situation escalating at this point. 'I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now and this is the only evidence,' he mentioned on the show. 'And then Jacob kind of just flips and he kind of pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat.'

Following these events, the New South Wales Police have initiated an investigation into the matter. A statement from the police department stated, 'Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident are continuing.'

As of now, representatives for Jacob Elordi have not responded to Variety's request for comment regarding the incident. Elordi, who has been receiving critical acclaim for his recent performances in 'Priscilla' and 'Saltburn,' is at the peak of his career. He has been nominated for the BAFTA Film Awards in the supporting actor category for his role in 'Saltburn,' as well as for the Rising Star Award.

Fans of the actor will be pleased to know that Elordi has some exciting projects lined up. He will be starring in Paul Schrader's film 'Oh, Canada' and taking on the role of 'The Monster' in Guillermo del Toro's upcoming movie, 'Dr. Frankenstein.'

This incident has undoubtedly put a dent in Elordi's otherwise successful journey, and it remains to be seen how this investigation will unfold. As the story develops, we can only hope for a resolution that ensures justice and fairness for all parties involved.
