Just weeks after they were rumoured to have broken up, Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli have now apparently reconciled and are giving their romance another shot.
ICYMI, the on-again, off-again couple have been romantically linked since 2021, but it was thought they’d called it quits (for real this time) in early August.
No specific reason was given for the rumoured break up at the time, with a source telling PEOPLE that the Euphoria actor and YouTube star had simply decided to go their separate ways after years on the relationship rollercoaster.
Those whispers came on top of additional reports dating back to 2022, when it was again rumoured that the pair — who met shortly after Elordi broke up with Kaia Gerber — had headed for splitsville as neither of them wanted a committed relationship.
Now, at the risk of giving you whiplash, it’s reported that Elordi and Jade are back on (again), with another sneaky source telling Us Weekly that the pair are recommitting to their relationship for another time.
“Olivia and Jacob are seeing each other again and giving it another shot,” the insider claimed, adding that the pair “recently reconnected” in New York City.
While we know to take these claims with a grain of salt (or actually, enough salt to rim a spicy marg), it’s worth noting that Jade was present at the Toronto Film Festival premiere of Elordi’s new movie, Frankenstein — a few weeks after rumours of their split hit the press.
Whether Jade’s attendance was as a supportive (recently reconciled) GF is not entirely known, but the source nonetheless said the pair “aren’t putting a label on it but are trying to see if the relationship will work again”.
They also claimed neither party had “fully closed the door” on the relationship since there’s a “deep rooted love between them”.
“They’re making more of an effort this time to prioritize each other. Both are approaching things with more maturity, taking it slow, and seeing where it goes,” the insider added.
While they’ve apparently reconciled now, their break up made headlines just this week, when Elordi appeared in a TikTok video shared by Sofia Coppola‘s daughter Romy Mars.
The rare social media sighting of the notoriously elusive Elordi had sparked online debate as to whether he’d come out of his shell following his split from Jade, but now it seems all the commentary might have just been fans over-thinking the situation.
So check back in next month, when there’s rumours of another break up, reconciliation, and break up again. Even though it’s all just hearsay, as a situationship expert, I understand the plight.
