For Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, his worst NFL nightmare came true — at the hands of Josh Allen.

Super Bowl contenders the Bills came up against the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida, and ended up losing 9-6 in one of the upsets of the season.

Along the way, Allen — the Buffalo star — made three pieces of history of the worst kind, as he became the first player ever to be sacked, intercepted and have a fumble recovered by an opposition player of the same name.

Jaguars linebacker Josh Allen made his namesake's life hell all day to the delight of Jacksonville fans.

Allen the linebacker delivered a history-making sack in the second quarter of the game.

The bad news for Buffalo and Allen continued in the second half, as Jacksonville continued to pressure the quarterback, Allen tried to get a pass off only for his namesake to pick it off for his first career interception.

In the final quarter, Buffalo's Allen fumbled the ball under pressure on a key third-down play in the final minutes, and the ball was recovered by who else, but Allen for the Jaguars.

Jacksonville celebrated their second win of the season, while Buffalo's Allen had a bad day at the office with 31 of 47 passes completed for 264 yards, with two interceptions and a fumble.

“Played like shit, excuse my language, but that starts with me,” Allen said.

“I’ve got to be better for this team. But, again, those guys on defence get paid, too. They had a good game plan."

Buffalo's Allen summed it all up: “It’s hard to win football games no matter who you play. We’re all grown men. We all get paid to play this game. They [the Jaguars] came out. They wanted it more.”
