Jacksonville infielder Tyrell Brewer stole home out of nowhere with diving move to earn shocking run

It’s not something you see every day, but Jacksonville University baseball infielder Tyrell Brewer somehow managed to steal home base and score a run within the same diving move.

It happened as Jacksonville played Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday night, as Brewer was on third base as one of his teammates was up to bat.

Rather than see if he could make it to home once the ball was hit, Brewer made the incredibly bold move of stealing home out of nowhere to add to Jacksonville’s 5-2 lead.

It worked out perfectly, as Eastern Kentucky was caught by genuine surprise as Brewer made the perfect dive home and scored the run as the opposing pitcher couldn’t get the ball to the catcher in time to get the out.

Brewer deserves a ton of credit for his daring slide home, as it helped his team tack on an extra run and landed him with one of the coolest college baseball highlights we’ve seen in a while.

After all, the element of surprise rarely fails.
