El Camino actor Robert Forster dies a day after the release of Breaking Bad film sequel

Actor Robert Forster has died aged 78 from brain cancer, his publicist has told The Hollywood Reporter.

His many movies include Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for best supporting actor in 1998, and Netflix's El Camino, the film sequel to Breaking Bad which was released less than 24 hours ago.

On TV, Forster was a star of the Twin Peaks reboot in 2017 and a recurring guest on sitcom Last Man Standing, playing the father of Tim Allen's character.

The Hollywood veteran began his career as a stage actor before making his film debut in 1967 in Reflections In A Golden Eye, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando.

According to Variety, Forster is survived by partner Denise Grayson and his four children and four grandchildren.
