Jack Wilshere comes in as Pellegrini makes one change - Predicted West Ham XI vs Southampton

For the first time since probably the opening game of the season last August, Manuel Pellegrini has pretty much a full squad of players to choose from for a matchday 18.

Manuel Lanzini, Aaron Cresswell and Samir Nasri have all recovered from their respective injuries that has seen them miss games recently. Only long-term victims Andriy Yarmolenko and Andy Carroll are unavailable for selection.

Carlos Sanchez came through 63 minutes for the U23s on Monday unscathed after eight months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
That lack of injuries, for a change, give Pellegrini a potential selection headache ahead of the game against Southampton this weekend - its a shame it has arrived in a pretty meaningless game.

Pellegrini could choose to give some of those players who haven’t featured as much recently some game time as the Hammers play their final home game of the campaign at London Stadium on Saturday.

Southampton without two key men for West Ham clash at the London Stadium

With that in mind, who do we think might earn the start this weekend? Here is out predicted eleven:

Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Balbuena, Masuaku; Rice, Wilshere, Noble; Anderson, Antonio, Arnautovic.

We've only made the one change to the side that beat Spurs 1-0 last weekend and that is the inclusion of Jack Wilshere from the start at the expense of Robert Snodgrass.

There are plenty of options for Pellegrini that he could choose to differ from our team. Javier Hernandez will be keen for a start up front for example, Grady Diangana impressed in midweek for the U23s and will be desperate for first team minutes at the end of the season.

Double injury boost for West Ham as two midfielders passed fit to face Southampton

The manager may well choose to rest Felipe Anderson, who has started every Premier League game bar one this season.

It’s unlikely he will start the returning trio for this game as the Chilean rarely throws players straight back in from the off after injuries unless it's an emergency.

We can't see Pellegrini changing things too much though despite the comparative wealth of options he has it his disposal.
