Jack Wilshere sends message to Arsenal boss Unai Emery over Ryan Fraser transfer

Former Arsenal star Jack Wilshere believes Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser would be a huge hit at the Emirates.

Mirror Sport revealed in April that the Scotland international is on the Gunners' transfer summer hit-list.

Fraser caught the eye with performances for  Bournemouth last season and other clubs have been looking as Tottenham have also scouted him.

But the Gunners are keen to win the race for the talented forward, and are believed to be in the process of beginning negotiations with their Premier League rivals.

Wilshere played with Fraser during his short stint at Bournemouth and reckons the Scotland international has all the ingredients to succeed at the Emirates.

"I think Ryan Fraser would be a great signing. I know him well," Wilshere told Football.London . "He’s probably the hardest working player I’ve ever worked with.

"He’s got an exceptional attitude. On the pitch he runs around all day – he’s the first one on the pitch in the morning and the last one off it.

"His physical attributes have really come on. He’s really improved that side of his game. He’s really come on. Technically he’s really come on. You can see that by all the chances he created last year.

"You can see that by the large number of assists he got last season. That’s credit to him and credit to Eddie [Howe]. Eddie put a lot of trust in him and it’s been rewarded.

"He’s nurtured him and he’s turned him into a top player – and if he goes to Arsenal I wish him all the luck in the world as he’s a great guy and a great player."

The Cherries value Fraser at £30million, particular as Aberdeen are owed around 20 per cent of the fee as part of a sell-on clause.

Arsenal, however, are intent on lowering that price as they have other targets too, and boss Unai Emery won’t be given a huge summer budget.

Fraser has gained a reputation for being a quick, technical player and has an eye for goal with Arsenal looking to bolster their squad in that department.
