Jack Wilshere insists there has been no contact from Rangers over a potential move to Ibrox.
The free agent is on the look out for a new club after leaving West Ham this summer.
There has been specualtion Steven Gerrard would be interested in acquiring the 28-year-old, while the playmaker has also been linked with a switch to the MLS as he weighs up his options.
But the Englishman insists Rangers have not approached him, but suggests it's something he is still be open to as he praised Gerrard for being one of his heroes growing up.
Wilshere told Beanyman Sports: "There's been no contact (from Rangers).
"I've read all the rumours, but honestly there's been no contact.
"Listen, I played with Steven Gerrard for England, I watched him growing up. He was one of my heroes growing up and he's a legend.
"But there's been no contact."
