Jack Wilshere could join forces with David Beckham as Arsenal speak out on mini Lionel Messi

Welcome to our football.london The Arsenal Way daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all. Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.

Jack Wilshere linked with Inter Miami

TalkSport have reported that former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is open to a move that will see him collaborate with David Beckham.

The 29-year-old is linked with a move to Inter Miami in the United States, being left without a club after being released by Bournemouth.

Wilshere spoke to TalkSport saying: “I’d like to go abroad actually. Obviously, I would like to play in the Premier League as well.

“But I would also like to play abroad. I’m training with Arsenal until the end of January, the MLS start their pre-season in January.

When asked if he’d like to play at Inter Milan, he replied: “Oh that would be nice”, going to ask co-presenter Darren Bent. “You must know Becks? You played with him! Give him a call. Any chance, 10%?”.

Our take: Fair play to Wilshere if he does end up playing the seemingly last couple of years of his footballing career with a move abroad. Linking up with David Beckham wouldn’t be the worst idea in the world and would give him the playing time he wants.

Smith-Rowe transfer rumours not worrisome

Talking ahead of the Gunners clash against Aston Villa on Friday evening, Mikel Arteta revealed that the club made it clear to the Midlands club that Emile Smith-Rowe is not for sale.

Arteta said: “There was communication between clubs regarding Emile and we made it really clear he was not for sale.

“I was never worried he could leave because he is a big part of our future and what we’re trying to do as a club. He is really happy where he is and I’m delighted to have him in my team.”

The Arsenal academy player was a sought after target for Villa in the summer transfer window, with the Metro reporting that two separate bids were rejected by the North London club.

The winger has looked to have cemented his future at Arsenal with a five-year contract signed and took over the coveted number 10 shirt at the club, which has been played in by the likes of Robin Van Persie and Dennis Bergkamp.

So, look elsewhere Villa, he’s one of our own…

Club deny signing ‘little Messi’

Footage of a four-year-old dubbed the next ‘little Messi’ has taken the internet by storm. There are pictures of him with Per Mertesacker and showing off his best skills with an Arsenal top on.

It was reported earlier on that Zayn Ali Salman signed to the club’s pre-academy after being identified as talented way beyond his age range.

But, Arsenal have now confirmed that the club isn’t quite officially part of the Gunner academy system. An official spokesperson has said: “At his current age, Zayn is not part of the official Arsenal Academy.

“He is currently enjoying football sessions at the West London Development Centre, one of the centres we run across London, providing fun football sessions for U-6 to U-8s.

“The youngest age group at the Arsenal Hale End Academy is the U-9s.

“Our mission to be the most caring and challenging football academy is reflected in the way we develop our young people.

“The priority is to ensure that any child attending the development centres or our Hale End Academy enjoys their football, with a focus on their all-around development and wellbeing.”

We know how much Zayn loves the club and wouldn’t it be amazing to see a British-Asian player come through the Arsenal academy and make it?

Definitely, a young talent to watch out for.
