Jack Whitehall living in hotel after '£17m home ruined by freak flood'

Freak flooding has forced comedian Jack Whitehall to move out of his new £17.5 million Notting Hill home.

The Fresh Meat star, 33, who shares the mega mansion with model girlfriend Roxy Horner, is said to be 'gutted' that he's had to abandon his stunning property and move into a nearby hotel.

According to reports, Jack been left with a costly renovation project to replace the damage - just months after ambitious property developers converted it from a popular pub into the multi-million pound mansion.

The couple will miss their incredible home when they get the builders in to repair the damage as the luxury crib, boasts a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, gym, cinema and it's own parking garage.

A source told the Sun: 'He's gutted. Talk about putting a dampener on moving in. The house is incredible and he loves it. There's even a lift and swimming pool in it. He wasn't expecting the kitchen to become a pool as well.

"Roxy doesn't live there full time but she is there most of the week now and it would definitely make the perfect home to start a family.

"They had to move out while the repairs are being done. The flooring was ruined and it was really expensive stuff."

Another source also told the publication the flood water caused damage to the kitchen and dining area and parquet flooring, due to extreme rainfall.

The couple's pad was one of several homes in the area damaged by flooding and the local authority, Kensington and Chelsea council has offered assistance to anyone who was affected.

The pair, who met during a trip to Australia, moved in together after just a few weeks of dating possibly due to the first lockdown and there relationship has 'accelerated as a result.

Speaking on the Couples Quarantine podcast, he said: 'Weirdly that was quite nice because we spent a lot of time together and it accelerates the relationship in a way.

'Then when lockdown ended, there's a lot of things we realised. We'd never gone to see a film together. We'd never been to a restaurant in England because we met in Australia.'

It's not been a great time for Jack who also faced backlash after taking his dog for a walk during the height of the heatwave.

The actor shared a picture with fans on Whistable beach on his Instagram but followers were shocked by the move who said it was unsafe.

One follower posted:"Jack please take that poor puppy back home where it belongs!" said one user, with their feelings echoed by hundreds more on his post.

But his girlfriend stepped in to defend her man, as she told on Instagram how it wasn't 'too hot' as she herself was walking barefoot on the beach and the pup had a 'great time' playing in the sea.
