Jack Ross has challenged his Hibs players to be brave enough to meet the challenge of finishing third.
They came from behind to beat Ross County and move six points clear of Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
That’s put them firmly in the driving seat to claim the European qualification that comes with it.
Ross is delighted with the way his players have gone about meeting the targets they were set way back in pre-season.
And he’s called for one last push not just for themselves, but for the fans who could be rewarded next season after they fully committed ahead of this campaign.
“We’ve had clear ambitions from day one of pre-season and the players have gone about that brilliantly and quietly,” he told Hibs TV.
“But we’re now at the stage of the season - I say be more open - but you can really push because the truth is, to achieve success you’ve got to be brave enough to take on the challenge of doing it.
“And we want that. We want to finish third.
‘We’ve got a lot of supporters that have committed to the club this year with no reward in terms of being able to get into the stadium.
“For us there’s a huge drive about getting the club to Europe and hopefully that coincides with people being back in the stadium.
“That in itself will hopefully be a part reward for that commitment.
“So there’s a real steely determination about us. It’s been hard work but nobody should underestimate how determined we are to do it as a group and how hungry we are.
