Jack Ross to add former Hearts coach Liam Fox to Hibs backroom staff

Former Hearts coach Liam Fox is set to join Hibs ’ backroom staff.

Fox left his role as number two to Davie Martindale at Livingston this week and is set to cross the capital divide to become a member of Jack Ross ’ coaching team.

The pair worked together as coaches at Tynecastle during Robbie Neilson’s first spell in charge and the Daily Record reports the pir are set to link up again as Fox joins assistant John Potter and goalkeeping coach Craig Samson in the Easter Road dugout.

“I’d like to thank the players, the staff and everybody involved with the club for making the last 7 months a fantastic experience for me. For us to finish in the top 6 and make it to a national cup final is a great achievement.

“I’d also like to personally thank Davie Martindale for giving me the opportunity to come into the club and work in a really good environment. “I wish the club the best of luck for the coming season and the future.”

Former Hibs ‘keeper Tony Caig has also left the Tony Macaroni Arena to focus on his rolse with the Scottish FA.

Caig confirmed: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the three and a half years I’ve been involved as goalkeeping coach with Livingston FC.

“It’s been a fantastic journey from gaining promotion to the Premiership,

reaching the Betfred Cup Final and back-to-back top 6 finishes which shows just how far the club has come in that space of time.

“I’ve made some great friends at the club along the way , coaching staff , the various people behind the scenes and of course the different ‘keepers & players I’ve had the pleasure to work with.

“I wish nothing but the best of luck to the club going forward next season and beyond.”
