Jack Ross sets lofty Hibs target for star trio as he makes Scottish Cup plea

Jack Ross has urged his on-form frontline to fire Hibs to European and cup success.

Kevin Nisbet and Martin Boyle were on target in Wednesday night’s 2-1 victory against Livingston to secure European football and rocket Hibs goals total to 43 for the season.

Nisbet, Boyle and Christian Doidge have grabbed the last 13 goals for the Easter Road side and Ross wants a big push to nail down third spot in the league and bring the Scottish Cup back to Leith.

Ross said: “I’ve encouraged others to get on the scoresheet but I don’t think you can complain when you have a front three contributing as many goals.

“They have all contributed over the season but the good thing is they are in great form at the moment.

“They are in a good place and some of the play in the first half was terrific. Martin was just about unplayable.

“If they can get to the 50 goal mark as a trio it would be outstanding.

“We’ll need them with the high stakes games coming up.

“What they’ve done already is good and they deserve credit for it. But we want to achieve something that is very good.”
