Jack Ross sends Hibs warning to Kevin Nisbet and Ryan Porteous as he insists they must be patient

Jack Ross has told Ryan Porteous and Kevin Nisbet they must be patient before regaining their starting spots in the Hibs team.

The pair were subject to bids on deadline day and both left out of the team against Dundee United, St Mirren and Aberdeen at the weekend.

And Ross insists that although both players are still vitally important to them, they need to remain supportive of their team-mates who have the jersey and wait to get a chance again.

The Easter Road side are on a run of three wins in a row after their 2-0 victory over Aberdeen with Martin Boyle back in form as well, and Ross isn't willing to change his Hibs side while they're impressive.

He said: “They’ve been fine. Initially there was a lot of speculation when we first left them out against Dundee United and on the back of that the players who came in have performed really well and I’ve always worked that way that players deserve to keep the jersey if they are performing well.

“They understood that and to be fair to them they have been vocal in their support, I hear Ryan behind me and I know how much he wants Hibs to be successful and Kevin is the same.”
