Matt Macey led from the back for Hibs as they played out a stalemate with Hearts - leaving boss Jack Ross lamenting opportunities missed.
Neither side could make the breakthrough in the Premiership clash in Gorgie with Hibees stopper Macey and Jambos keeper Craig Gordon starring for their sides.
Despite the goalless draw, Ross says he enjoyed watching an entertaining Edinburgh derby that leaves the Leith men sitting second in the table.
His keeper, Macey, was a huge positive as he pulled off several stunning saves to deny Hearts and Ross has challenged the giant former Arsenal man to make the gloves his own now.
Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland, the Hibs boss said: "I genuinely enjoyed it. I wanted to come here and win but given the way the game went both sides have several opportunities.
"Both goalkeepers were terrific and it was a terrific atmosphere as well.
"The atmosphere crackled the whole game - our supporters were magnificent today.
"Craig's saves are taken for granted but with Matt as a newcomer to a Scottish game he's grabbed his chance.
"He had big gloves to fill in Ofir Marciano - he's a great character and at a good age to establish himself as a top goalkeeper.
"You can never be sure in a derby but both teams carried intent.
"It's not an easy environment to play in and we handled both sides of the game really well.
"It's only that final part that was missing."
A share of the spoils kept both Edinburgh sides in the top three - a point behind champions Rangers in pole position.
Ross believes those standings are deserved - for both teams - with the former Sunderland gaffer relishing watching his squad grow.
He continued: "It's two good teams in that area of the table for a reason.
"Hearts have strengthened and improved since coming up and it's been a long time since we've been on a run like this.
"We've got to keep doing it but it's a young squad that's growing in stature."
