Former Hibs boss Jack Ross has landed a plumb job with Premier League big hitters Newcastle United.
The Scot, whose reign at Easter Road ended under something of a cloud, has found his way in to a top role at St James Park. The 46-year-old has been announced by the club as interim Head of of Coach Development within the academy set-up. The ex-Hibees boss - who also had a stint in charge of the Toon Army's big rivals Sunderland - will work close with one-time Celtic manager target Eddie Howe.
The former Easter Road gaffer was hailed by club Academy Director Steve Harper who told the club's website: "Jack is a very experienced manager, coach and coach educator.

"His knowledge and experience will be of huge benefit to us during his time here."
Ross had previously been linked with the vacant positions at Aberdeen and Motherwell after his Dundee United spell ended in heartache following a poor run of form amid a 9-0 hammering by Celtic.
