Disappointed Jack Ross has told his Hibs players to use the Premier Sports Cup final ticket blow as motivation to lift the trophy.
Easter Road chiefs are furious at the results of crunch talks that left them with just 17,500 briefs for the Hampden showdown.
It means that almost double the amount of Celtic fans set to get in for the first major final of the season.
The Edinburgh side took less than 10,000 to the national stadium for the semi-final win over Rangers, but Ross brushed away concerns that they would not have sold out a 50-50 split.
Ross told Sky Sports : "A few points on it, naturally we want as many of our supporters as possible in the stadium, and secondly recent history and beyond shows that we would sell that allocation easily in terms of the numbers that have attended.
"In terms of the semi-final aspect of it, I think historically the semi-final stage of the League Cup has not always attracted big attendances, even when the biggest clubs have been involved in them.
"So I'm not sure it's a good barometer for setting a final allocation. We've argued our case and it's fallen upon deaf ears, but it's about us using it as motivation again.
"Another point would be that the 10,000 that we had in the stadium against Rangers made more than enough noise to compensate for that drop in numbers.
"I anticipate it will be the same (in the final). We are still going to have the best part of 20,000 Hibs supporters in the stadium.
"If we have a level of performance like we did on Sunday they will make more than enough noise to compensate."
