Jack Ross fields Celtic apology query as Hibs boss as he reflects on Dubai re-test saga

Celtic have not issued an apology to Hibs after the Covid chaos ahead of their Scottish Premiership clash confirmed boss Jack Ross.

The Hibees claimed a point against the makeshift Hoops side after 13 Parkhead stars were ordered into isolation along with boss Neil Lennon and John Kennedy following Christopher Jullien 's positive coronavirus test on their disastrous Dubai training camp.

The game initially had to be postponed to allow for the trip, and Ross revealed after the game at Hibs stars’ families feared for their safety after the SPFL ordered the Easter Road men to face their Covid-hit opponents or face a points deduction.

In the following days Parkhead chief executive Peter Lawwell released a statement conceding that the ill-fated training camp was a mistake and issued an apology to supporters.

However, when asked by Sky Sports if there had been an apology to the clubs following concerns raised by the club, Ross said: "No and I don't think there was any expectation from us for them to do so.

"I think I spoke openly enough about the requests we had made to the governing body, and we were given explanations from the governing body and the league as to why those requests didn't need to be met so as far as I was concerned there is no expectation from us for that to be the case."
