Jack Ross extends Hibs stay as boss targets new signings for 'exciting' season

Hibs boss Jack Ross has signed a two-year extension to his contract and immediately set his sights on success.

The Easter Road gaffer had entered the final year of his contract at the club but has signed an extension after discussions with the board.

And now Ross is targeting an 'exciting' season at the club and hopes he can bring in a couple of more signings to strengthen his squad ahead of it.

Hibs start their campaign with a Europa Conference League game with Santa Coloma this week and already know who they could face in the next round.

With the Premiership also starting in less than two weeks, Ross believes there's still work to be done as they look to build on last season.

Hibs finished third for the first time in 16 years while also reaching the Scottish Cup Final and League Cup semi-final, and now Ross is determined to get more.

He said: “I’m very happy at Hibernian and I have been well supported by my staff, the players and the board. We had a good season last season and the aim this year is to build on that. We’ve got a terrific group of players.

"We are looking to bring in one or two to strengthen our group and I believe we have an exciting season ahead of us."
