Offaly man Jack Regan is reportedly set to join Ospreys this summer.
Regan, who turns 24 this month, has been playing his rugby in New Zealand for the past year.
Having been let by Ulster, Regan took up an offer to play with Dunedin Sharks - a club in the third tier of New Zealand rugby.
He then caught the eye of coaches at regional side Otago before Super Rugby side the Highlanders came calling.
Now, New Zealand media are reporting that Regan is set to move to Wales to join PRO14 side Ospreys.
Regan, son of hurling legend Daithi, admitted in March that his performances for the Highlanders were earning him attention from back home.
He said: “I am having a bit of interest from back home, but I’m waiting to hear whether the Highlanders are going to offer me something, a proper deal.
"I don’t know where I will be. At the minute, everywhere in the world apart from here is in lockdown and it’s an absolute nightmare, so I’m in no hurry to go back to Ireland or anything purely because of the lockdown."
