Jack Johns, son on Knights legend Matthew, will make his Newcastle top grade debut off the bench on Sunday against the Parramatta Eels on Old Boys' Day at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Meanwhile, new recruit Jake Clifford has been named in jersey No.18 but is likely to find himself in the starting side by kick-off Sunday.
The inclusion of Johns and Clifford are among a raft of changes forced on coach Adam O'Brien after last Sunday's crucial win over Manly with his squad decimated by injury, suspension and representative commitments.
Already missing Mitchell Pearce, Edrick Lee and Hymel Hunt, the Knights will also be without Daniel Saifiti and Kalyn Ponga [Origin], David Klemmer [suspension] and Tyson Frizell [injury].

In a pack reshuffle, Jacob Saifiti and Jessie Sue will start in the frontrow with Brodie Jones elevated into the starting side on Frizell's right edge.
The backline from the Manly game is intact.
The bench is Kurt Mann, Johns, Josh King and Simi Sasagi with Clifford, Jirah Momoisea, Mat Croker and Gehamat Shibasaki named on the extended bench.
Klemmer took the early guilty plea on a grade 2 high tackle charge and will miss the next two matches.
