A middleweight bout between Jack Hermansson and Edmen Shahbazyan is the latest addition to May’s UFC 262 lineup.
MMA Junkie verified Hermansson (21-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) and Shahbazyan (11-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) have agreed to the matchup with a person close to the booking following an initial report from the Los Angeles Times. The person requested anonymity because the UFC has yet to announce the bout.
UFC 262 takes place May 15 at Toyota Center in Houston. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+/UFC Fight Pass.
Hermansson, No. 9 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie middleweight rankings, is coming off a main event loss to Marvin Vettori at UFC on ESPN 19 in December.
Shahbazyan, an honorable mention in the rankings, will attempt to rebound from his first career defeat against Derek Brunson at UFC Fight Night 173 in August.
