Jack Hendry set for Celtic loan exit again as Oostende line up deal

KV Oostende are keen on a loan move for Celtic’s Jack Hendry.

The Belgian top-flight side have expressed an interest in taking the Celtic defender for the new season.

Hendry is in pre-season training with Celtic. The Scotland cap is being eased back in after a knee surgery suffered last season while on loan at Melbourne City.

Oostende, who narrowly avoided relegation, are looking to rebuild. The West Flanders outfit are owned by the same group who control English Championship side Barnsley.

Hendry still has two years on his contract with the champions and hasn’t given up on trying to get back into Neil Lennon’s plans.

Hendry joined the club under Brendan Rodgers after impressing during a spell at Dundee.

Meanwhile, former Celtic winger Jonny Hayes has been offered a two-year deal at Aberdeen.

Record Sport exclusively revealed that the Pittodrie side are hoping to get him in for pre-season training when they return this week.

Hayes spent five years at Aberdeen before moving to Celtic on a free transfer but is still well loved among the Dons support who would love to see him back.

He's also interesting the likes of Dundee United while Blackpool have also made a move.
