Jack Harrison reveals his personal target for Leeds United's Premier League run-in

Jack Harrison has set himself a target for the remainder of the Premier League season with Leeds United.

Leeds continue their campaign against Sheffield United on Saturday as they look to push up the Premier League table during the last nine matches.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are comfortably clear of the relegation zone in 11th place having taken 39 points from their 29 games.

Harrison has enjoyed a productive season, contributing six goals and five assists in 28 Premier League matches, but he says he still has plenty to play for.

“It’s been good. There have been a lot of ups and downs and I’ve definitely learnt a lot playing in the Premier League,” he told LUTV.

“I said to myself at the start of the year that I’d like to get 10 goals so I am still going to be pushing myself a lot over these last eight or nine games to try and achieve that."

Leeds have been without the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Illan Meslier, Mateusz Klich, Diego Llorente and Stuart Dallas over the international break, but Harrison says that has not affected their preparations for Saturday’s game against Sheffield United.

“It’s not changed too much. If anything, with the added break, it just gives us a chance to be a bit more intense and aggressive in training,” he said.

“We’ve had younger players from the squad come in and fill in spots that we’re missing so we’ve continued working as normal.”

The Blades are bottom of the Premier League, having taken just 14 points from 29 matches.

Paul Heckingbottom’s side are 13 points from safety and have won just four games in the top flight this season, but Harrison says Leeds will not take them lightly as they look to do the double over their rivals.

“You can’t really be complacent with any game in the Premier League and us as a team will be ready for every game,” he said.

“We’re going to take it as a normal match, prepare like we have been already and make sure we’re ready on Saturday.”
