Jack Harrison opens up Leeds United dressing room reaction to big Patrick Bamford miss

Jack Harrison has backed Patrick Bamford to "redeem himself" following his costly miss in Leeds United's 1-1 draw against Leicester City at Elland Road.

Harrison's corner from the right was glanced on by the head of Marc Roca and found Bamford completely unmarked at the back post. Daniel Iversen scampered across his goal in desperation, but it looked easier for Bamford to score than miss.

Instead, Bamford inexplicably fluffed his lines, and wasn't even reprieved by the flag, despite looking as if he was possibly in an offside position. The Leeds forward has struggled for both goals and fitness over the past two seasons, but Harrison insists the players are backing him to turn things around.

"It happens in football. It's part of the game. It wasn't just him, there were maybe some other people that had chances here and there," Harrison told LUTV.

"Things we could've avoided, and there are always things we can improve on. It happens to the best players in the world so I know him as a person, he's going to be looking forward redeeming himself on Sunday and getting another goal back. We're all behind him."
