Jack Harrison on Bielsa's 'complicated' ways and his own development under the Argentine

Jack Harrison says that he feels settled now at Leeds United and that his maiden campaign last season with the club has helped him figure out how to better himself as a team player.

The Manchester City loanee netted a goal and added an assist in the Whites' 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers on the Saturday, to lift them to second in the Championship.

Harrison's man-of-the-match performance proved to be one of the major talking points as speculation swirls over what will happen upon the end of his current stay at Elland Road, having returned for a second term with United this year.

Speaking after the game, the 22-year-old professed his delight with being singled out for his turn against QPR while added that he feels he is continuing to improve under Marcelo Bielsa.

"[I'm] extremely pleased, more about the result than anything," he stated. "We knew it was going to be a tough, tough game going it.

"They confused us a bit at the start with their formation and we took five to ten minutes to figure that out, but I think once we sorted that we were able to play our game as a team and capitalise on our chances.

"I’ve been continuing to work hard, the same as last year. Having that first year under my belt now has definitely helped with the comfortability and figuring out what the manager wants and what the team requires.

"It’s important to fulfil those needs. I think I’m always trying to do what’s best for the team, and having that year has helped with figuring all that out.

"The lads have made it really easy [to settle]. It’s complicated at first to work with Marcelo with the amount of detail he puts in, but if you try and embrace it as a player you’re going to learn a lot.

"That’s exactly what I’ve tried to do, I’ve learnt so much playing under him. In the second year, looking to do the same thing, looking to improve each and every game."
