Jack Grealish was reportedly "absolutely torn" over whether or not to make the move to join Manchester City from his boyhood club Aston Villa.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder is set to undergo a medical on Thursday ahead of his eye-watering £100m transfer being finalised, and he will allegedly earn a whopping £360,000-a-week at the Etihad.
Grealish has been at Villa since he was six years old, and will no doubt feel highly emotional about his departure.
And according to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, he has found the decision a hugely difficult one - and was only allowed to leave because a release clause in his contract was activated by City.

"Jack Grealish has a £100m release clause in his Aston Villa contract," he wrote on Twitter. "It’s been very difficult for him to leave the club he’s supported all his life and been at for 19 years. He was absolutely torn about whether to stay at Villa or move to Man City."
A number of high-profile figures have been having their say on Grealish's impending move, and former City defender Stuart Pearce told The Mirror that he thinks he should remain with Villa.
"I don't think any player has to move anywhere to reach their potential," he said. "That's an internal thing they have to drive themselves.
"Jack's done fantastically well, he's a part of the England squad at a very young age. He's done particularly well for Aston Villa over the last couple of years. He's been key for them.
"If he moves clubs some of it will depend on the offers that arrive and the other is the player's personal happiness and whether there is a loyalty to play his football.
"Whatever decision he makes I am sure he will talk it through with his family and if there is an option there, the club will put that option to him.
"You never know what's ahead. One thing I would say, whether he stays or goes, he should have a fantastic career in front of him. That is only defined by how professional he is as a player."
Meanwhile, celebrity City fan and former Oasis star Liam Gallagher appeared to be stunned over the transfer fee his beloved club are splashing out for Grealish.
And he also compared Grealish to his Three Lions teammate Phil Foden, who shone for City last season.
"100 f****** Million pounds," Gallagher wrote. "If that's the case (Phil) Foden must be worth 500 million +".
