Jack Grealish teammate drops transfer hint amid Manchester United interest

Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane admits that captain Jack Grealish has a "tough decision" to make this summer amid transfer interest from Manchester United and has hinted he could leave the club.

The MEN understands that United have prioritised the signing of Grealish over Leicester City attacker James Maddison, with the 23-year-old midfielder expected to stay with the Foxes for at least one more season.

Hourihane praised his teammate's ability and hinted he faces a difficult summer ahead.

"Jack's obviously hugely talented, he's our talisman and he's had a fantastic season," Hourihane told Sky Sports News. "He's been linked with so many clubs, lots of top teams around Europe.

"It's going to be a tough summer and a tough decision for Jack. Hopefully, first and foremost, he keeps us up - that is the most important thing for the football club.

"And then, whatever Jack decides to do, that's up to him. He deserves everything he gets.

"For me, he should be in the England squad as well because he has something that nobody else does, in my opinion."

Villa are currently second from bottom in the Premier League, though have a game in hand on their rivals that could move them out of the relegation zone.
