Jack Grealish shows support to Ardoyne Youth Club campaign

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has shown his support to a mental health initiative being run by Belfast's Ardoyne Youth Club.

The Struggle 2 Strength campaign kicked off this week and has been backed by a number of local sporting stars, Belfast Live reports.

And now former Irish underage player and Premier League ace Grealish has sent the club a special video message to wish them well.

In it he says: "Hi guys, Jack Grealish here. This week I will be supporting  Arodyne  Youth Club's Struggle 2 Strength campaign.

"Obviously every single day is massively important for your mental health to get out and do some positive exercise.

"I do it myself every single day at the moment."

He added: "It is so important we look after ourself and our mental health, and that it's okay not to be okay. And it's okay to speak out if you're not okay.

"So I will be supporting that this week and especially while this is going on during this tough time."

Ardoyne Youth Club's Struggle 2 Strength campaign is running throughout this week, and encourages people to get out for their daily physical activity each day for seven days.

"It can be a walk, run, cycling, boxing, yoga - anything that gets you moving," Ardoyne youth worker Stephen Konrad said.

"We want people to do their exercise then send us or share on social media a short 20-second clip of them doing the exercise and saying they are taking part in the Struggle 2 Strength campaign."
