Jack Grealish sends message to Eric Dier following Tottenham star's dig at John Fleck

Tottenham are gearing up for a tough test this weekend against Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United, hoping that they can put together one strong final push to seal an unlikely place in next year's Champions League.

It will take something special over the next four games for Ryan Mason and his players to make up the five-point gap to Chelsea, with David Moyes' West Ham side two points above Spurs in fifth.

But with two wins on the bounce against Southampton and Sheffield United in the Premier League, things are looking up for Spurs.

In the 4-0 victory over Sheffield United, Giovani Lo Celso took a bang on the head from John Fleck's boot, but the Scotland international received no red card despite treading on the Spurs midfielder.

Can Spurs Catch Chelsea Or Leicester?

It was an incident Eric Dier was keen to poke fun at after Wednesday's training session, and something that was not missed by one of the Premier League's top talents.

Jack Grealish was quick off the mark to appreciate the joke from Dier, and had things gone differently the duo could be teammates in north London.

Spurs came close to sealing a £25million move for Grealish from Aston Villa in the summer of 2018, but a takeover of the club meant that a bid for the midfielder was subsequently rejected by the new owners, with Grealish instead committing his future to Villa.

Despite that, Grealish admitted back in 2018 that he was disappointed not to have sealed a move to Spurs.

"Of course there's going to be disappointment there," he said at the time. "They've beaten Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford, they're playing Barcelona in the Champions League next week.

"I felt that if I'd gone there I could have maybe been in the England squad by the end of the year.

"At the start of the season my head was swivelled, it was all over the place. Even after the transfer window closed, until the end of August, I wasn't right."
