Jack Grealish sends cryptic social media message amid Arsenal transfer links

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has issued a message on social media amid links stating that Arsenal have expressed an interest in his services.

The 24-year-old has excelled for Dean Smith's side this season, playing an integral role in the club's great escape to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

Manchester United have held long-term interest in Grealish but, with their sights set on securing Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, a door may have been opened for Arsenal to make a move.

However, posting on social media amid all the talk about a move to the Gunners, Grealish appeared to show a very clear message in regards to the speculation.

Grealish's post showed the Villa skipper in an image where he had his backed turned to the camera with his fingers in his ears, suggesting he isn't listening to the rumours.

Arsenal will likely face a struggle to secure a deal for the Villa skipper as he has had a whopping £80m asking price slapped upon his head.

That figure would represent a club-record deal for Arsenal, exceeding the £72m paid to bring Nicolas Pepe to the club from Lille last summer.
