Celtic reportedly expressed an interest in signing Jack Grealish earlier this summer.
The Englishman recently departed Manchester City, joining Everton on loan for the season.
The Merseyside club hold an option to buy, which, according to a report from The Athletic, sits at £50 million.
The same report also notes that Celtic expressed an interest in signing Grealish before he signed for Everton. The 29-year-old, however, is said to have 'never seriously considered a move to Scotland'.

Brendan Rodgers remains on the hunt for attacking reinforcements this summer.
With a crucial Champions League play-off tie against Kazakh champions Kairat Almaty looming, Yang Hyun-jun, James Forrest, Daizen Maeda and the lesser-spotted Marco Tilio remain his sole options out wide.
Asked about transfers after Celtic's comfortable 2-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday, Rodgers said [Sky Sports]: "Look, I think that I've got no news now at this very moment on where we're at.
"Our job between now and the end of the window is to make Celtic the very best that we possibly can. In the meantime, we'll continue to develop the players that are here and improve them.
"Of course, I want Celtic to live in the very best possible place that it can be. And for me, that'll be us signing more players at the top end of the pitch. But I can't magic them in there, and if they're not there, then we'll work with the players that are there and make them the very best that they can be.
"We know what we need to strengthen. We know where we want to live and be the best that we can be - we have to."
