Jack Grealish's stance on £100million transfer with Man City set to test Aston Villa's resolve

Jack Grealish will decide his future after the Euros with Manchester City poised to test Aston Villa's resolve over their skipper.

But Premier League Villa will fight to keep Grealish and opened talks over a new contract for him last week to improve his £130,000-a-week wages.

Villa are desperate to retain their captain and England ace who has forced his way into Gareth Southgate's starting XI.

Grealish is aware of the champions' interest but is focused on doing well for England at Euro 2020 and has put his future on the back-burner.

But City want the star and have been plotting a summer move since December.

Yet Villa and their ambitious billionaire owners Nassef Sawiris and Wesley Edens have no intention of rolling over for their prized asset.

Villa chiefs insist their new club record £33m record signing Emiliano Buendia has been bought to complement Grealish.

The Midlands club reckon they have not had any approaches from any club and insist they have made it clear to Grealish's representatives they have no intention of selling.

Now a major battle over the England ace is on the horizon once the Three Lions ' tournament ends as Grealish is currently totally committed to the England cause.

Any deal for £100million-rated Grealish will set a new British transfer record.

Would Jack Grealish be a good signing for Man City at £100million? Have your say below.

Grealish, 25, only signed a new five-year deal with his boyhood club last September.

Villa missed him badly when he was ruled out for 12 matches from February to May when they won just three times without him.

His return coincided with seven points from their final four games, including finishing with wins over Spurs and Chelsea, to underline Grealish's importance as Villa ended 11th.

They have since signed Buendia, Ashley Young and want Southampton's James Ward-Prowse in a bid to progress next season.
